‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 5 preview: Dr. Light’s arrival; Barry Allen, Patty Spivot go on a date
“The Flash” spent a great deal of time on Tuesday setting up the story of Firestorm, which in turn is going to be something that plays out in substantial fashion on the upcoming “Legends of Tomorrow.”
Going into next week’s “The Darkness and the Light,” it feels as though we’re going to focus more on the long-term story for this season, which includes more of Jay Garrick, Zoom, and also the relationship between Barry Allen and Patty Spivot, who Joe encouraged him to get closer to just for the sake of starting to give other people a chance. Oh, and there’s also the arrival of someone new in Dr. Light. Take a look at the synopsis below for more news on what to expect:
“Barry (Grant Gustin) learns a new breacher, Dr. Light, has come through the portal and sets off to capture her. Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) tells Barry that Dr. Light was not a threat on Earth-2 and that Barry can reason with her. However, during a fight with The Flash, she blinds him and drops some shocking news about Zoom. Meanwhile, Barry and Patty (Shantel VanSanten) go out on a date.”
So are we going to get a chance to see Harrison Wells during this episode? While he’s not mentioned, we certainly hope so given just how much of a slow-burn The CW has made the story of Tom Cavanagh’s character so far this season. Give that he’s a personal favorite, it could not come soon enough. Update: The promo below proves that you’ll be seeing plenty of him!
