‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: Theo Galavan, Oswald Cobblepot join forces

If you want there to be something resembling peace in “Gotham,” probably the last thing that you want to see is a variety of nefarious characters coming together with a singular goal in mind. Unfortunately for Jim Gordon, that is something that is going to be happening on an upcoming episode.

Specifically in this article, we are looking towards the upcoming October 19 episode entitled “Scarification,” one that will give more backstory between the Galavan and Wayne families while also showing just how things are continuing to grow worse for Gotham’s residents. The synopsis below gives you some other updates in terms of what to expect:

“Galavan and Penguin join forces with a dangerous family in Gotham. Then, as the rivalry between the Waynes and the Galavans resurfaces, Gordon struggles to maintain order in the city.”

This episode sounds to us like it will be a lot of fun for a variety of different reasons, with the major one being that this gives the Penguin more main characters to interact with. One of the only real qualms that we’ve had with the last three installments is that he seemed very content to just sit on the sidelines with his cronies and watch Jerome and the Maniax have their fun. Maybe he just had the foresight to know that they were going to go completely nuts and burn out, leaving him to rule the city in their wake. Technically, Barbara Kean is still alive, but what’s the group without their chief troublemaker?
