‘Blue Bloods’ season 6, episode 4 preview: The story of ‘With Friends Like These’

Blue Bloods season 6On Friday night’s new episode of “Blue Bloods,” one of the primary issues that we saw examined was the complicated relationship that exists between the press and the police. Sometimes, their interests just do not align. In addition to that, this episode brought us an opportunity to learn a thing or two about how Linda was coping following the shooting. This is really the first time that this has been brought up in full this season, which isn’t that rare given that this is a procedural show.

The next new episode is entitled “With Friends Like These,” and judging from the synopsis below, we have a feeling that one of the top priorities in this hour is going to be examining the relationship that exists between the Fire Department and Frank’s office. It’s tricky at times, mostly because you have everything from home turfs to regulations to deal with. Not all of these organizations run in perfect harmony in the way that you would want.

Also in this episode, be prepared to see one of the biggest legal struggles of the season for Erin as the return of Dan Hedaya leads to some surprising events:

“Erin’s attempt to convict a slippery mob boss for an old murder is muddled when her former informant, Vincent (Dan Hedaya), leaves witness protection to provide his old boss with an alibi. Also, Frank finds himself in a departmental war with Commissioner of the New York City Fire Department, Stan Rourke (Dan Lauria).”
