‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: When will Captain Lance’s allegiance be known?

There were a few different interesting story threads that were clear during the “Arrow” season 4 premiere, but to us, one of the clearly most-fascinating stories was getting to see the controversial decision by Quentin Lance to align himself with Damien Darhk. We feel like Lance’s history details that he would want to work with someone with this level of charisma; he’s also a practical man, and if there is a way to limit some of the suffering in Star City, he’ll get that in however way he can.

The unfortunate thing for Lance is that we don’t think he fully understands just yet what Darhk is capable of, and that may be something that he has to figure out over the course of this season. It’s possible that some of this will come in the October 28 episode “Beyond Redemption,” and you can see the official synopsis for it below:

“Laurel (Katie Cassidy) must deal with the repercussions of taking Sara (guest star Caity Lotz) to Nanda Parbat. Meanwhile, Oliver (Stephen Amell) asks Captain Lance (Paul Blackthorne) for a favor and while he’s not surprised at the response, he is surprised at what he finds out next.”

Clearly, this episode is also going to give us a chance to see some more of the immediate after-effects to the Sara crisis, and will eventually lead into the appearance from none other than John Constantine in this world. He’s going to be coming up in the upcoming fifth episode of the season, and will be integral in bringing some of the old Sara back.
