‘Chicago PD’ season 3, episode 2 preview: Is Voight worried about Lindsay (again)?

At the end of last week’s season 3 premiere for “Chicago PD,” Voight gave Lindsay what was ultimately an ultimatum: She had to figure out if she wanted to be in Intelligence once again, or if she wanted to go off diving into her old demons with her mother Bunny. It was either-or; if she rejoined the force, she had to cut off her mom.

As the sneak peek below for Wednesday night’s new episode gives away, this is not so cut-and-dry as Voight probably wants. After a debriefing of the latest investigation (the incredibly-tragic murder of a ten-year old boy), Lindsay seems a call from her mother on her phone, and seems to walk away as though she is going to take it. Will this mean that Voight will rip her right off the force again? It’s at least possible unless she comes up with an explanation. Maybe she has not had that conversation with her just yet.

Do you think Bunny is going to take any potential bad news well? Probably not, which is why you should also watch out for a tense story in this episode regarding her and Jason Beghe’s character that could feature her making his life much more difficult.

In true “Chicago PD” fashion, we imagine that the story of Lindsay and her mother will be woven in alongside the investigation into the child’s death. We’ll be back on Wednesday night with a full review, and also a quick preview for what is coming up later on this season.
