‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6, episode 11: Marlene King shares peek at new intro
“Pretty Little Liars” has another secret … and potentially another dead body? After getting a first glimpse at the upcoming intro sequence for season 6B and potentially beyond, we are definitely wondering if that is the case.
The tease below comes from the Instagram account of show creator Marlene King, and it features our five leading ladies (Troian Bellisario, Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, and Sasha Pieterse) standing in black dresses. If that is not funeral attire, what is it? The other clue of this very thing comes with their footwear: Many of them are wearing slippers! This is obviously a move for comfort of the cast, and it suggests that whatever they are doing, the cameras will not be panning to their feet. It’s certainly possible that they are standing in front of another casket like the four main characters were with Ali in the original intro.
We could really dive now into a rabbit hole of speculating whose death would lead to yet another sequence like this, but that may be getting a little bit ahead of ourselves. We know that there is one murder that remains unsolved in Mrs. DiLaurentis’, but given that her death happened before the five-year time jump, it makes zero sense for the Liars to be suddenly standing next to her casket in the future.
Maybe we are completely off-base and the black dresses are a misdirect, but if we were not meant to speculate about something related to “Pretty Little Liars,” what would the point of the show be? The mystery makes it exciting!
The second half of season 6 will begin starting in January presumably, and we are sure that ABC Family will release further information before then.
