‘The Blacklist’ season 3 spoilers: Will ‘The Djinn’ help clear Liz Keen’s name?

The Blacklist logo any seasonThere’s no doubt that the story for Elizabeth Keen on “The Blacklist” right now is difficult. She is working hard to try to exonerate herself, but that is not an easy thing to do with the FBI chasing her. That is why you could see her in hiding, sporting different costumes, or trying to head to Russian embassy in order to seek asylum.

On the upcoming October 22 episode entitled “The Djinn” (which will be the fourth of the season), what we are going to see is Liz and Red once again rely on a mysterious figure for help. This time around, it is someone named the Djinn, who has connections to the Cabal and presents one of the first real slivers of hope for Liz that we have seen in some time. The synopsis below adds a little bit of further insight:

“Red (James Spader) and Liz (Megan Boone) continue their mission to clear Liz’s name. Red enlists the help of the task force to help them find a woman called the Djinn, a mysterious woman who fulfills revenge fantasies. They believe the Djinn can lead them to the Cabal, the next step in exonerating Liz.”

We have wondered for some time how long the show plans on separating Liz from the FBI, and we have to be honest in saying that we’re surprised that this story is even lasting for a full four episodes. This is something that they could have wrapped up in one or two, but we do assume that by the time we at least get to the midway point, the show will return somewhat to its roots. The real long-term importance of this present arc, in addition to clearing Liz’s name, is establishing further trust between her and Red so that they can work together better in the future.
