‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: The latest (and mysterious) casting news

LogoIt really should not come as a surprise that there is some new “Game of Thrones” casting news out there right now, but you will have a very difficult time getting any of the details all about it. In true HBO fashion, they are being entirely hush-hush.

Here is what we can say for now: According to a new report from Deadline, New Zealand born actor Joe Naufahu has signed up to appear in multiple episodes of the show. That is it. Naufahu’s most notable credit to date are four episodes of “Spartacus: War of the Damned,” so he will be a relatively new face for many who watch the HBO series.

“Game of Thrones” is actually starting to get closer to the end of its season 6 production, and it has been for the most part one of the most tumultuous filming periods that we have seen for the series in quite some time. For example, there has been a relentless search to try and figure out whether or not Kit Harington is returning, and even if there wasn’t the Jon Snow drama, you would still have an army of photographers out there trying to figure out the future of the George R.R. Martin – A Song of Ice and Fire series. The show taken as many precautions as possible at this point to stop spoiler-hounds, but at this point, it is inevitable that people are going to be overly curious.

This new season will premiere on HBO in the spring; at some point over the winter, we imagine the first promo will air.
