‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7 premiere video: How Damon, Bonnie handle their situation

At the end of “The Vampire Diaries” season 6, Damon Salvatore had the biggest shakeup of quite possibly his entire life, which is really something given the fact that he is old enough to remember the Civil War. Elena is gone, and the only thing left for him to do is wait. If he were to kill Bonnie and bring her back, there would likely be two events that would take place as a consequence:

1. He would lose someone he has started to consider a close friend.

2. There’s a pretty good chance that Elena would never forgive him, and then he would not have her at all. By comparison, waiting may be a good option.

The fun thing about the sneak peek below is that the writers are not shying away from the elephant in the room, or how Damon would probably handle this “unique” situation. He, Alaric, and Bonnie, are all in Amsterdam, and the two guys in particular are drinking the day away over their various states of sorrow. After Bonnie starts to scribble in her journal what is going on, Damon starts in with a variety of different jokes about how she could die. Nice. Luckily, Bonnie lets it roll off her back and go about her business. See how much she’s evolved? We’re not sure season 2 Bonnie will be okay.

We presume that Damon will continue to live his life even with Elena gone, and she’d want him to do that. He’ll probably do a few things she wouldn’t like, and also a few things that make social media very angry. Then again, if this doesn’t happen, would fans of the show really know what to do with themselves?
