‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 2 preview: Is there hope for Jackson and April?

Grey's AnatomyApril arrived back in Seattle near the end of the “Grey’s Anatomy” season 12 premiere on Thursday night, but one thing that we were rather quick to learn was that ever since she lost her baby, nothing has been on the level between her and Jackson. They’ve fought, and more than that, she just has not been available to fight. She has taken it upon herself to heal her heart by traveling to remote areas of the world to help other people; that’s really noble, but she is not exactly helping her marriage in the process.

Just to make matters worse, on Thursday night’s new episode the character is quarantined after she returns home and there are concerns about whether or not she is carrying an illness. Basically, she goes from having up an emotional wall to there being a physical one keeping the two from talking things out.

This all sounds very depressing, and when you think about it, something straight out of “Grey’s Anatomy” as of late. Following Derek and the end of Cristina and Owen as a couple, it’s hard to believe in anyone working out and being happy. Maybe you assume the worst for these two, if only because that leaves open room to be pleasantly surprised alter.

If there is any reason to have hope, you get it courtesy of what Sarah Drew had to say about this story recently to Entertainment Weekly:

“She will stop at nothing … She is tenacious to a fault and persistent. She believes in her marriage vows. She believes there’s no possibility of divorce in her mind — that might not be exactly the same for Jackson. It’s going to be a really, really long process to try and get back into his good graces, but she’s fighting.”
