‘Switched at Birth’ season 4, episode 16 preview: Is Bay diving back into dating?

Throughout the past season of “Switched at Birth” on ABC Family, we have certainly seen the character of Bay go through quite a bit. We’ve seen the end of her relationship with Tank, the terrible incident with him during the first part of this season, and then also the split with Emmett at the end of the first part of season 4.

While we know that there is going to be another scene with Bay and Tank at some point on Monday night’s new episode, the new sneak peek that we have for you below is ultimately not about that at all. Instead, it revolves more around Bay seemingly trying to dive back into the dating pool, and doing so with someone named Garrett who Daphne may remember from Carlton. Bay asks Daphne to borrow one of her tops, and she obliges.

We feel like the important part of this sneak peek is when Daphne warns her about this guy being a player, and she doesn’t seem to care. Why is that? We can think of one or two reasonable explanations:

1. She is really not that interested at all in this character, and this is all an elaborate ruse for some currently-unknown reason.

2. Bay just wants to dive back into casual dating, and does not want anything that serious after everything that she went through with Emmett. Could you really blame her for that?
