‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ spoilers: Angela Bassett on working with Lady Gaga

“American Horror Story: Hotel” is coming your way on FX on Wednesday, October 7, and there is a heck of a lot of stuff to look forward to. What’s one of the most prominent parts of the show? It has to be Lady Gaga. She is who FX is promoting the most, and her role has the most public interest at the moment. We’d be insane to act surprised by this. She is one of the biggest pop stars on the plat, so of course there is a natural curiosity to see what she is going to bring to the table.

One person who does certainly know better than anyone what Gaga is like right now is Angela Bassett, who is a major part of the show this season and is playing one of Gaga’s many lovers. (Gaga’s character is the Countess, the owner of the Hotel Cortez and someone suffering from a mysterious blood ailment.)

In speaking on the subject of Gaga to “Access Hollywood Live,” Bassett said lightheartedly that Gaga is a “good kisser” while then describing how, despite being a big star, she really does put some effort into make sure everyone around her is happy and comfortable:

“She’s the nicest person. She is warm and gracious and funny. She makes everybody feel comfortable and she’s comfortable with herself. So, no one is tripping except for me.”

One of the examples of what Gaga did specifically to ensure the comfort of those around her was invite everyone to take part in a part at her house before the start of filming. That way, they got a chance to know her and her world before things started to get crazy.
