‘Switched at Birth’ season 4, episode 16 preview: What happens when Bay sees Tank again?

So far this season, “Switched at Birth” has worked hard to show the complexities that exist in all sorts of relationships. It doesn’t matter if you are talking about siblings, lovers, or friends, but nothing is cut-and-dry.

On next week’s episode, we’re going to see eventually with Daphne and Mingo as they start to figure out that there is a rocky preexisting relationship between his dad and John. Don’t you think that this will make for an awkward dinner party? Definitely, but for John, maybe this is a way for him to help to take a step forward, if for no other reason than for the good of Daphne.

Meanwhile, both the synopsis and the video below hint at a powerful story that is going to revolve around Bay seeing Tank again after everything that happened in the first half of the season:

“Daphne and Mingo decide to introduce their parents at the Kennishes’ grill night, only to find Mingo’s father is the business manager John blames for his current financial problems. Bay has an awkward run in with Tank at the restaurant where he works.”

The scene where Tank tells Bay that no one knows what it is like to be forever associated online with being a rapist is what we are talking about here when it comes to “complexity.” It doesn’t make us sympathize with him, but it does offer up some additional perspective that you don’t always see other shows really start to even examine. That is what makes this show in many ways different.
