‘The Blacklist’ season 3 spoilers: New surprises for James Spader, Megan Boone in premiere

Over the course of the first two seasons of “The Blacklist,” what we saw for the most part was a situation where Liz Keen and the FBI, with some help from Raymond Reddington, take down a variety of Blacklisters who are doing terrible things around the world.

So what happens when Megan Boone and James Spader’s characters are on the run? Well, let’s just say that the tables are turned, and they may even need to call for a little bit of help from the same people they were previously putting behind bars. We’ve got some of the first details right now for the October 1 premiere entitled “The Troll Hunter,” which we love since it makes us think of someone actually seeking out real trolls out in the wild (in the event that trolls were actually real in the first place).

The synopsis below makes it clear not only what you can expect from Liz and Red, but it also sets up the somewhat complicated situation for the Task Force after dealing with so much betrayal and distrust:

“The season premiere kicks off with the FBI hunting Liz (Megan Boone) for the murder of the Attorney General. Red (James Spader) and Liz are named to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list and set out on the run to evade capture. Red calls upon a Blacklister called “The Troll Farmer,” to help them flee the city, while the task force must question whom of their own can still be trusted.”
