‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: Is James Gordon looking for help in a terrible place?

Theo -

We’re doing things a little bit out of order here when it comes to “Gotham,” but the end result is ultimately still the same: New scoop on what will hopefully be a great season!

Yesterday, we presented you with some of the first news on “Knock, Knock,” which is actually the second episode of season 2. Today, we’re backtracking a little bit and giving you the official word on “Damned If You Do…,” which so happens to be the first episode of season 2 airing on Monday, September 21. This one gives you a sense of Oswald Cobblepot’s early reign, and then also the arrivals of Theo (pictured) and Tabitha Galavan to the season. We’re not sure we can call them Big Bads per se just yet, but they are going to waste almost no time at all causing problems:

“Penguin is King of Gotham and after a shakeup at the GCPD, Detective James Gordon’s moral compass wavers, as he seeks help from Penguin. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne continues to explore the secrets from his father’s office, while GOTHAM newcomers Theo Galavan (James Frain) and his sister, Tabitha (Jessica Lucas), make friends with some unlikely allies, a group of dangerous inmates from Arkham.”

At the moment Barbara and Jerome are two of the more noteworthy Arkham inmates, and these are people you definitely don’t want out in the real world. Still, the fun of them lies in the unknown; Barbara has taken a sharp detour from who the character is in the comics, while we’re still not entirely sure that Jerome is the Joker. We think the show is going to do a thing where they give us a few different people over the next few seasons who could become the character, and then let us choose. That’s a little more in line with the Joker’s own backstory of providing several different histories for himself.

As always, stay tuned for some more of the latest news on the show! You can also head over here in the event you want some other TV scoop on everything we cover, sent right to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Fox.)
