‘Longmire’ season 4 trailer is here, and it’s fantastic

We predicted that we were going to have a whole lot more when it comes to “Longmire” coverage over the next few days thanks to the September 1 premiere date quickly approaching, and we’ve now got a little bit of proof courtesy of the video below!

Of course, we should point out one thing before we get any further: There are SPOILERS in the trailer regarding the cliffhanger from the end of season 3. Still want to keep on reading? Then keep on keepin’ on.

The trailer gives you the closest thing that we’ve seen to official verification that Branch (Bailey Chase) is still a part of the show after it looked as though his father Barlow was going to kill him. How he made it through that is still a mystery, but unless the show is perpetuating some elaborate dream sequence, he’s back.

There are no significant story spoilers in this particular trailer, but you do see Walt (Robert Taylor) infiltrating a casino, a few conversations between him and Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips), and of course the moment that we’ve seen previously where he attempts to shoot his gun off into the sky, only for Henry to stop them.

If you haven’t seen the show just yet, you’re missing out: It’s visually stunning, well-written, and different than almost anything else on TV. The move to Netflix is only going to make it better; the story will be more serialized, and there will be more flexibility to what the writers can do.
