‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5: The latest promo delivers chilling message

According to the latest “Once Upon a Time” season 5 promo, nobody can stay good for long. That’s an awfully grim way to look at the world, isn’t it? Regardless of if you feel that to be true one way or another, it is going to be a theme of the early portion of the season when it comes to the Dark Swan.

For the most part, we feel like the reason that the show is preaching this message is simple: Nobody’s perfect. Maybe that is a better way of putting it. We saw earlier this series David a.k.a. Charming’s Storybrooke alter ego catch himself in a most uncomfortable love triangle, while later on Snow White was revealed to have at least a little bit of darkness in her heart. This is just part of being human; everyone has a good and dark side. It is mostly just a question of which side you let take over you completely.

We know that the Dark Swan story will at least dominate the early going of this season, as we watch to see whether or not the likes of Emma’s parents or her boyfriend Captain Hook can figure out if there is a way to cure her of this. We know that Merlin is involved, just as we also know that some of the characters are going to venture off to Camelot.

Hopefully, ABC will release at least one more in-depth preview before the show returns with new episodes on September 27. These are nice, but we want something more substantial!
