‘The Blacklist’ season 3 spoilers: See James Spader, Megan Boone in new promo!

When the season premiere of “The Blacklist” airs on NBC on October 1, the show is not going to waste too much time apparently before getting to the good stuff. Specifically, we are talking here about getting to see Liz Keen on the run, and working alongside Reddington to a certain degree.

The new promo below (first posted by Entertainment Weekly) starts off with what we would call a general retrospective on the entire series. If you have never seen the show before, this is a pretty good way in which to be introduced fully into that world. The show did experience some ratings dips over the course of the second season, so any way to bring in new viewers is something that we will very much sign off on.

Meanwhile, the second part of the promo features James Spader and Megan Boone’s character seemingly doing everything they can to evade the FBI, and they actually make the whole thrill of the chase seem fun. Liz is sporting a blonde get-up now in a way to further shield her identity, while Red somehow just never seems to be recognized by anyone of note. As far as we know, they are at least still going to be in America at the start of the premiere, though that could change moving forward.

In general, though, this new season looks like a heck of a lot of fun. We cannot wait to see what the producers choose to do with it from here.
