‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6, episode 11 preview: Return date chatter for ‘Of Late I Think of Rosewood’

PLL -“Of Late I Think of Rosewood” is the title for the winter premiere of “Pretty Little Liars,” and that is something you should keep in mind going into tonight’s summer finale. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you just yet when it is going to air.

In some ways, we’re glad that there are only 20 episodes in season 6. Doing 24-25 episodes of any show a season is a lot to ask some people, and this allows the writers to tighten things up and gives the cast more time to either rest or work on some other projects. Of course, the downside of this is that there is no Halloween or Christmas Special just yet. Typically the winter season starts either the first or second week of January, which makes either the 5th or the 12th a good date to put into pencil in your calendar as to when the show will be back.

As for what to expect, in some ways you’re getting a completely different show. No longer is there going to be any sort of high school drama; five years will have passed, and Ali will have convinced the Liars to return to Rosewood after spending some time living their lives and moving forward in some other endeavors.

Given that this is “Pretty Little Liars,” you can also expect there to be complications. “A” is somehow going to return in some way, which means that nobody is out of the woods just yet. We’re at least going to get a season and a half of this story in the future. The show already has a season 7, and there is no confirmation about more episodes beyond that.
