‘Shark Tank’ revisited: Budsies, Forus Athletics, PullyPalz, BeeThinking, and Q-Flex

Sharks -Tonight, “Shark Tank” returns again with an episode that was one of our favorites of the entire season. There are some installments that this show has aired over time with more than a dud or two in the mix. That is one of the real pleasures here: While we would not personally buy all of these products, we recognize their value and that there is something great to be said for all of them as legitimate businesses.

In terms of updates, tonight is bringing you more information on the Q-Flex, the acupressure product that was really the smallest small business out there when they made their first appearance on the show. Now, it is pretty clear that they are blossoming into something more.

Budsies – We know that this didn’t work out perfectly for the custom-plush company when the show first aired, but we’re glad to see them keeping up the good fight. We’ve been covering this show extensively since season 3, and we’ve held nothing back in saying that this is our favorite product ever to on the show. It’s just so imaginative, and we know that if we were a kid we’d be begging to get some of our doodles made into a stuffed animal. It’s also not too expensive given the product and the turnaround time has also improved.

Bee Thinking – We have zero interest in ever being a beekeeper, but this business continues to show even since the show that it is probably the #1 place out there for the product. They are knowledgeable, have a wide array of products, and they also do a great job of providing education to newcomers in the hobby. Clearly, it’s not going to be for everyone. That is really the only weak point we can clearly see.

PullyPalz – Once again, this is still something completely out of our wheelhouse. They are doing a smart thing and selling their plush / pacifier combos at a sale price going into tonight’s episode, likely expecting a little bit of a rush. We imagine that this is a useful product for parents who feel somewhat overwhelmed, and the fact that there is a plush component to it gives the night a nice theme.

Forus Athletics – We dig the shoes a lot, and the business has a great mission behind it and they seem focused on comfort just as much as they are performance. They are currently out of stock of a good many of their shoes based on their website (it seems to be an issue of Customs / catching up on orders), but hopefully this is something that will be resolved for them soon. The fact that tonight’s episode features them probably means a whole lot more business.
