‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: All about struggles ahead for Oliver and Felicity
It is pretty easy to root for Oliver and Felicity on “Arrow,” given that they have had such an intense buildup to where they finally were at the end of season 3: Together. We feel like the Olicity phenomenon in many ways started back in the second half of season 1 once she was firmly entrenched as a regular part of the show, and it has only picked up momentum ever sense.
The great news when season 4 begins is that it does not appear as though Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards’ characters are going to be together, and it does not sound as though the writers have any plans to split them up in the near future. With that being said, though, it does also sound like they will be thrown into a variety of difficult situations, and have to figure out what to do in order to make it through. Just take a look at what executive producer Wendy Mericle said to TV Guide on the matter:
“We really wanted to explore the ups and downs of a traditional TV relationship, like we’ve established with Oliver and Felicity, and pretty much throw everything at it that we can and see if they’ll make it through.”
As for one of the latest good guys on the show in Curtis Holt a.k.a. Mr. Terrific, Mericle made it clear that this is not meant to be a Felicity love interest; however, he will fill that role left by Ray’s departure over on “Legends of Tomorrow” in being that tech guru who Felicity can relate to on a professional level.
“Arrow” season 4 is currently filming, though Amell will have at least some time off soon to go and appear on WWE “Raw.” Read more on that subject now over at the link here! Also, you can sign up to target some more TV updates on all we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: The CW.)

Please no. I can’t take any more of Felicity’s sobbing.
