‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Becky and Johnny Mac’s chat; outside news
Before we do anything else with this “Big Brother” update,a quick word on our planned weekly exit interview: Hopefully, it’s still going to happen, but Jason wasn’t able to be tracked down earlier today. We’ll give you an update on that when we learn more.
For now, let’s start with what is the biggest update from earlier today, and that is that apparently some of the contestants were given some news from the outside world in the form of a true / false test. Apparently they were told about some celebrity breakups and a little bit of politics, but they haven’t chatted too much about it. They are getting takeout as a result of their work, and it sounds like the halfway party could be tonight. That meets one of the few feed outages that is not for any sort of competition or for a live show. That’s a bummer, but we’re not going to complain about it since we know it’s coming every year. Plus, at least this is not like it is something where we spend all day watching the feeds expecting to see a big party, only for the feeds to be shut off. (Yes, we are looking at you, “Big Brother Canada.”)
Strategy-wise, a big highlight of this afternoon came when we found out that Becky seems to have finally realized that Shelli and Clay were just using her, and she is better moving forward going with James, Meg, and Jackie, where she will not be a target. She and Johnny Mac are going to think of a good name for their alliance. If these two join those three, then you have these five people against Shelli or Clay, Vanessa, the twins, Austin, and Steve moving forward. That is five versus six, and while they don’t have the numbers, they at least have more of a fighting chance.
Granted, Becky has been known for flip-flopping, so let’s not take anything she says completely to heart just yet. We’re not burying her for being a rat like some are; with that said, she needs to do a better job if this is to become her game.
