‘big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Steve discussion plus Perry the praying mantis

Before we dive too deep into this “Big Brother 17” article, let’s stop for a minute and say that the best thing that could possibly happen over the course of the next week or so is that someone like Johnny Mac wins the next Head of Household. Vanessa thinks that she can control almost everyone in the house, and it would be nice to see someone close to a free agent get a little bit of power.

Still, what Vanessa has been doing most of the past day or so is very smart. While she has rallied to try to get the votes for Shelli to stay, she has also done her part to try and convince others that someone like a Steve or Johnny Mac could be targeted next. She has really put some paranoia into Steve’s brain that because he is considered a floater to some, he is an easy target to be stuck up on the block and sent home. This could motivate him to go and win the next Head of Household.

Depending on what happens with the votes this week, Steve may actually end up being the swing. Does it benefit him to keep Shelli in the game? Probably not, but we’re not sure he realizes that completely. He should be trying to get into a position where he can be Vanessa’s true #2; if Shelli stays, she will be.

As for some other brief highlights from the past 12 or so hours…

1. James is trying not to tell people to vote for any one person, though we still think he could be surprised if Shelli stays. With that said, we don’t think he will really care that much since whoever did make it through would probably target him anyway.

2. The house found a praying mantis outside and named it Perry … which then became a source of entertainment for a long time. These people are BORED.
