‘The X Factor’ UK: New trailer features surprising Louis Walsh cameo

Can we say officially now that Louis Walsh has a pretty good sense of humor about himself when it comes to “The X Factor” UK? We’re definitely starting to feel that way after watching the new trailer released by ITV.

At the very end of the preview, you can see Walsh sweeping the floor of what looks to be the show’s laboratory to build a proper new version of the show. Earlier, the show also skewers Walsh by having new judge Nick Grimshaw state many of the same phrases that were uttered over and over again on past seasons of the show. He goes on to joke that it is “last year’s chip.”

Seemingly both Walsh and the show mutually decided to move forward, given that his time as a part of the series was really up and all parties had to move on to some other things. Still, we are glad that they both acknowledge that Louis was an important part of the show, and there is seemingly no ill will here whatsoever. Given so many starts tend to treat themselves almost as mercenaries when it comes to joining a show and leaving the moment they get either enough fame or money, it’s nice to see a little loyalty.

In true British TV fashion, ITV still has not confirmed when the new season is going to premiere. For the most part we really do not understand this, mostly because other shows around the world tend to at least give you some sort of inclination as to when they are premiering a little earlier.
