‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 3 spoilers: A Headless shocker and more

Sleepy HollowWhat is “Sleepy Hollow” without a Headless Horseman? It sounds bizarre, but we are about to find out.

After a second season that was pegged for the most part as a major disappointment, the Fox series brought in Clifton Campbell of “The Glades” to be the new showrunner. Since that time, there have been many changes. The show has moved to a new filming location away from North Caroline, lost the likes of Orlando Jones, John Noble, and Katia Winter, and has brought in Nikki Reed and others.

Now, we’re getting official word from Campbell himself that Headless will not be back. Here is what he had to say on the subject in a new interview with TV Guide:

“There won’t be any Headless this year … But we have a new framework and a new set of rules for the mythology. And it all starts with the introduction of our new big bad and will take us into a very interesting device which will allow us to see a somewhat more compelling, but more personal threat to both Abbie (Nicole Beharie) and Crane (Tom Mison).”

If it makes you feel any better, it sounds as though you are going to be seeing more of Joe Corbin on the upcoming season, and he is going to spend a good deal of time working alongside Jenny on trying to uncover some more secrets.

We’re still ultimately unsure about everything with this show, but it feels like it is worth a chance. While season 2 was a letdown, maybe coming off of that the show has learned some lessons, and is really striving to find redemption in one way or another.
