‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Johnny Mac and Steve finally hold some cards

JohnTonight has been a fairly weird night on the “Big Brother 17” live feeds, mostly because while there has been a lot that has happened, we’re not sure how much of it has value in terms of the details. Therefore, what we want to do tonight is go a little more big-picture, and point out some of the winners and losers of the day.

Winners – Johnny Mac and Steve. With the house now being firmly divided into different groups, these two guys plus Becky (if she survives) and Jackie have a whole lot of power in the game. We’d love to see the Rockstars mount some sort of resistance to the Sixth Sense if they can, though the problem here is that John and Becky have had something loose with Clay / Shelli and Steve thinks he is tight with Vanessa. How they’ve “won” today is that they’re positioned well enough that really, Becky, James, and Jackie will all be targeted before them. Meg is such a non-entity competition wise that nobody will care.

Losers – Clay and Shelli. Jason at one point tonight insinuated that Shelli is the Devil, and is throwing most of the blame at her feet for what has happened. He is encouraging his remaining allies to go after her in the event that he is sent home from the game. “Clelli” are in a position now where they need to potentially try to win Head of Household in the event that their fellow alliance members fail to do so.

Winners – Liz / Julia and Austin. Who really wants them out before anyone else now? Suddenly, they’re not the ones pulling the strings really anymore, and Austin has done a good job of hiding and not causing trouble since all of the drama went down.

Losers – People who wanted to not win Head of Household. The biggest flaw of the After Dark Crew was trusting too many people and therefore not trying too hard to win competitions. Because they haven’t really been in power since week one, some of their numbers have dwindled. They really need to pick it up if they want a chance.

We’re still torn on what all of this is going to give us moving forward. Entertainment-wise the perfect situation is Jason stays this week and someone from his side enters power and shakes up the game. This season has been incredible at bringing drama, but we do worry if things don’t shake up soon that we could have a boring final few weeks of the game.
