‘Girl Meets World,’ ‘Reading Rainbow,’ ‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 coming to Netflix in August

Netflix -For those of you following Netflix intently, we’ve got a few notable shows that you are going to want to check out throughout the month of August.

Let’s start with August 1, which is when Volume 1 of “Reading Rainbow” is going to be available. In a word, this is awesome. Take a look, it’s in a book, and it can now be streamed for audiences of all ages to enjoy. The LeVar Burton-hosted program is in the midst of a fantastic comeback following a successful Kickstarter campaign that is changing the way new segments and video field trips can be enjoyed.

As for some other highlights…

August 8 – In preparation for the new season starting on BBC One in September, “Doctor Who” season 8 will be available! Peter Capaldi fans, rejoice getting to check out the likes of “Listen” and “Death in Heaven” all over again.

August 23 – The first season of “Girl Meets World” will be online! For fans of the ABC classic “Boy Meets World” who haven’t seen it yet, this is a chance to check it out. To be fair, though, it takes a good dozen or so episodes to really figure itself out and start to appeal more to classic fans.

August 28 – You will be able to catch up on the most-recent season of “Once Upon a Time.” Also, at this point the entire series of “Revenge” will be available, just in case you never got a chance to see precisely how that show came to a close.

For “Longmire” fans, don’t worry: It will be coming to the service soon enough.
