‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Should Ben Higgins reveal come in ‘After the Final Rose’
At this given point, it feels almost like an inevitability that Ben Higgins will be named “The Bachelor” at the end of this season. He has been named in reports as the guy getting the spot, and while there are some other likable guys from Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season (Ben Zorn, Chris Strandburg), it feels at this point like a complete waste of time to even sit around and speculate that anyone different could end up being in the lead role in the end.
With that, we now pose the following question: Why not go ahead and make the announcement tomorrow? The last time that a Bachelor was announced at the “After the Final Rose” was two years ago, when the season of Juan Pablo officially began after Desiree Hartsock’s season. At that time, everyone was legitimately excited about what that season would be like.
The reason why the show may not do that this time is because it may want to give people a reason to check out “Bachelor in Paradise,” especially if they promise a big reveal during one of those episodes. We thought that they were doing that with Chris Soules last year, but they really just announced that randomly and it didn’t have much connection to anything.
Hopefully we will have a better sense soon as to what the show plans to do, and our real hope is that if they’re not announcing it Monday, they make that clear so that nobody watches for three hours hoping that an announcement will be made. Wouldn’t at least this be the courteous thing to do?
