‘Once Upon a Time’ alum Georgina Haig signs up for new Syfy series

Elsa -For all of those who watched this past season of “Once Upon a Time,” you know Georgina Haig very well for playing the part of Elsa. She was around for the first 12 episodes of the show (we’ve learned that “Smash the Mirror” is technically being counted as two separate hours), and now the actress is going to be moving on to a different sort of genre project.

According to a report from Deadline, Haig (who you may also know from “Fringe”) is going to be joining the upcoming Syfy project “Incorporated,” which is coming from a pair of big-time producers in Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. It is a futuristic show set in 2062, where climate change has rocked the planet and there are many changes to the political and social landscape. She will play the part of Laura, a plastic surgeon and husband to the character of Ben (Sean Teale), who is a power player in a major corporation and desperate to rise through the ranks. Eddie Ramos is also set to appear in the pilot, and will come from a completely different world than the other two characters.

Obviously, there is still a lot of time to go before we know whether or not this is something that will come on the air, but given the track record of the two producers we are talking about here, don’t you figure that it has to at least have a pretty reasonable shot of making it to series? Syfy has also stepped up to the plate recently with more and more ambitious projects; this is just one of them.

As we start to hear more on this project in the weeks / months ahead, we’ll have more news here.
