‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: Now getting its own bottle episode?

Supernatural -Who doesn’t love a good bottle episode? It’s a chance for a show to focus strictly on some of its characters for one. Not only that, but we assume that some in production are probably pretty thrilled with it. It can’t exactly cost just a mountain of cash to make.

There are one of these such episodes presumably coming at some point on “Supernatural” season 11, given that show executive producer Andrew Dabb tells TVLine that we are going to see at least two episodes “in the same location, building off the same case” during the season.  Those of you who prefer to see Sam and Dean together should smile for a minute over that. Also, Dabb added that this will “create a little bit of serialization we don’t do a lot of.” It’s a fun little idea for the show, and above all else we are glad to see that this is a show that does continue to want to experiment somewhat with the format after so many years.

In terms of the overall arc for next season, our prediction is that it will be somewhat similar to past ones in that we will periodically check in with the main story (more than likely the Darkness), and then have side missions that take the Winchesters back to some familiar places and to some familiar faces. It’s too bad that so many of the latter are now dead; just take a look at Kevin and Charlie now. (Hey, there’s still Sheriff Mills, right?)

The new season starts on October 7, and yesterday it was reported that one of the most important new characters this season will be played by Emily Swallow. Read more on her role here.
