‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: When could possible Ben Higgins reveal happen?

At this point, it almost feels silly to hide it: Ben Higgins is going to become “The Bachelor” next season. Reports have him in the role, and most of the other good candidates save for Ben Zorn are on “Bachelor in Paradise.” That Ben is the one getting phased out from all of this, provided that he was actually interested in being a part of this in the first place.

Now, one of the major questions left is a relatively simple one: When are we going to actually see the announcement made? The timing here really differs depending on the season. Sometimes, we see it come as early as the “After the Final Rose” special, whereas on other occasions we have seen the show wait until the late summer or early fall, around the time the show gets a little bit closer to filming.

We do understand if producers do wait to confirm it until near the end of “Bachelor in Paradise” this coming season, if for no other reason than that this is a further incentive for people to watch that show if they were not interested in it already. “The Bachelor” is the most-watched edition of the franchise, so of course production wants to put as many eggs into that basket as possible.

Also, remember here that the show has no incentive to release it early, just because nobody will really care too much if it is not a secret. Remember, almost everyone knew that Kaitlyn Bristowe was going to be “The Bachelorette” thanks to set footage all over the internet, but they continued along with the character of her and Britt Nilsson battling it out until the season started.
