‘MasterChef’ season 6, episode 9 preview: Gordon Ramsay’s famous beef wellington enters the fray

MasterChef -Does Gordon Ramsay have the most famous beef wellington in the entire world? It may be a tad too early for us to say this with an adequate level of confidence, given that we’ve never actually had the dish or seen it in many menus.

However, he certainly has the most-discussed version of the entree in all of America. We’ve seen contestants on “Hell’s Kitchen” be screamed at for years over the quality of it. It’s a tricky, technical dish, given that you have everything from the steak to the puff pastry to the sauce and the vegetables to worry about. There are a heck of a lot of components present here, and it is fairly easy to have one or two things go awry.

This is why Wednesday night’s “MasterChef” should prove to be rather interesting for the contestants! If you look below, you can see some of the remaining home cooks have a little bit of a taste test of Ramsay’s famed dish, with of course rave reviews coming as a result.

Of course, there’s a very big difference between tasting this dish and actually making it. Some are inevitably going to struggle to get everything right, and at least one home cook could leave as a result. We’re a little worried about Hetal (if she has to make this) given that she doesn’t eat beef, though she could also be spared because there are still a couple of contestants we’ve barely heard from still in the competition. The quiet people are the ones that tend to go well before some of the big personalities.
