‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Another new alliance closes out Fourth of July

While the Fourth of July party on the CBS lot kept some of the “Big Brother 17” houseguests inside for a while, they did still figure out a way to entertain themselves … or at least entertain us. A plan for backdoor this week was pretty much set in stone, and we also got further evidence that this season may not be anything like what we’ve had the last two years where there was a pretty defined alliance in power much of the time.

This year, everything seems to be changing depending on the Head of Household. Shelli is riding high this week, but think about how many alliances she has! Earlier today, it was Austin and Liz who she and Clay were getting close to, as they were the ones to originally plant the seed of backdooring Meg, someone who would probably for sure go home against Da’Vonne. Later this afternoon, it was Jackie, Jeff (pictured), and John. The latter seemed to be added to this new alliance mostly because he was in the right place at the right time.

The plan to backdoor Meg still seems to be in place, and this group claims that Audrey and then Austin should be the next targets. Honestly, we get mixed vibes from Shelli; sometimes we think she doesn’t want to nominate Audrey in fear of backlash, but other times we think she actually wants to keep her.

Even still, Shelli and Audrey did have a good conversation tonight that showed that maybe Shelli will keep her options open more in the long-term, with the latter making it clear that she would probably target Becky if she wins Head of Household because of some of the talk she heard over the past few days. Audrey also insisted that Austin and Liz are the most trustworthy group, but they also have fewer numbers.

It’s so hard to keep track of all of these numbers, but for now, just remember that not that much matters if the plan holds. The biggest twist is still Kathy Griffin’s phone calls; they may have some more information (maybe when the feeds were down earlier), but they don’t know exactly what the twist is.
