‘The Originals’ season 3 spoilers: The waiting game for Phoebe Tonkin’s Hayley

How much is Phoebe Tonkin going to be needed for the early portion of “The Originals” season 3? That is a good question, mostly because in the early going her role as Hayley is going to be in a very interesting place. Thanks to the curse that was put upon her at the end of season 2, she is basically going to be trapped in wolf form.

Will that change over the course of the upcoming season? Probably, but don’t expect it to happen right away. According to a new Entertainment Weekly report, Hayley is going to remain stuck with the Crescent Curse for at least the premiere episode. After that, who knows? We imagine that part of the reasoning for this is a sole matter of ensuring that twists within the story of the show actually matter. If the show was to go back on something like the curse right away, it would make it seem somewhat trivial.

Here’s what you have to look forward to: Hayley’s rage whenever she does get back to her human form again. After all, we presume that she is not going to be altogether pleased with some of the people who allowed her to be in this position in the first place.

The new season of “The Originals” will premiere on The CW come Thursday, October 8. We imagine that we’ll have a whole lot more news before then on the show, so be on the lookout!
