‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Nominations, Battle of the Block results

Shelli -It’s a little bit crazy how things work in the “Big Brother 17” house around the time of the Fourth of July, mostly because CBS has a big fireworks celebration that takes place on the lot where the house is located. Thanks to that, the majority of the house has to be kept on lockdown throughout the holiday, and there is a change in terms of how the competitions are handled since they have to be outside.

Basically, while we were sleeping last night the official nominations and the Battle of the Block each ended up taking place. For the most part, everything is exactly how we told you it would be: Shelli nominated Da’Vonne and John for eviction, while Becky put up Jason and Steve. The latter two won the Battle of the Block, which makes some sense since John basically threw the competition as per the plan. This means that Becky is no longer in power. The Have-Nots for the week are Steve, Jason, James, and Meg.

Everyone in the house now is saying that it is pretty obvious that John threw the competition, which you cannot blame him for too much out of fear of ticking people off. Nobody seems that upset at him, though Day is definitely experiencing a turnaround after being completely confident this past week. She is a big strategic force, but the problem Shelli as Head of Household is running into now is what happens in the event that Da’Vonne wins the Veto. Who do you backdoor? She probably doesn’t want John to go home, and she has ties to a variety of other people in the house. Since Becky nominated Jason, he cannot be a backdoor target now. She could find herself theoretically in a position where she has to backdoor Audrey, since she may not have too many other choices without throwing her and Steve’s game into a hole.

One interesting possibility is Jeff, who has been running around talking game way too much. If that gets back to Clay and Shelli, he could be in danger.

We’ll hopefully have more news today, as we figure that there will be more insanity in the house. More updates can be found here, and sign up to get some further TV news on all we cover courtesy of our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: CBS.)
