‘Chasing Life’ season 2 video: ABC Family uploads new Italia Ricci teaser

Can you believe that the second season of “Chasing Life” is premiering next week on ABC Family? It was not that long ago when the network pushed the show forward from its originally-planned August premiere, and also decided to shift it around and air it before “Becoming Us.” Now that these changes have been made, the network is starting somewhat of a publicity blitz.

From an engagement to some family drama, you can see in the video below some of the first teases on the new season via star Italia Ricci, who has quite a journey ahead still for her April character. She suddenly will enter this season with a philosophy to try and live her life to the fullest, and not let any challenges in her way stop her from doing that.

Hopefully, she can succeed with this goal, but the problem here is that sometimes, it is easy for a variety of different things to start to cramp that philosophy to a certain extent. There are hardships and setbacks that she could battle, and we also hear in the video that someone is going to jail.

In terms of what we think about this moment as a promotional strategy, it’s smart. Given how much time that ABC Family has spent jostling around the premiere date and time for “Chasing Life,” they need to do something to get out in front of the viewers and remind them of when the show is coming out. Given the network’s social media-savvy audience, videos on YouTube seems to be a smart way to go about things.
