‘Major Crimes’ season 4 spoilers: Is something coming for Andy and Sharon?

If nothing else, we can definitely say at the moment that “Major Crimes” is loving to play the long game when it comes to some of its characters. While we have seen both Andy and Sharon on both this show and “The Closer” for practically forever, we are just now starting to get to the point where it appears like something more could be bubbling underneath the surface. It’s not altogether obvious yet that it will turn into a romantic relationship … but it’s at least something and definitely worth watching the rest of season 4.

As you would imagine, this is also something that is extremely fun to play behind the scenes. Speaking per TVLine, Tony Denison had the following to say about this storyline, even though he did also add that he “doesn’t know” at the moment just what the future holds for Andy and Sharon:

“I liked it, for a lot of reasons. First of all, I love working with Mary McDonnell — I’ve been a fan of hers since forever — so the chance to work with her on the show alone is fantastic. And because of that, sometimes Andy’s glee is based on the fact that Tony gets to work with Mary! Now that they’re developing a relationship it’s kind of like, ‘Oh, and I get that too?’ It’s wonderful. The short answer is: It’s wonderful.”

Hopefully, let’s just hope that this is not something else that could be years in the waiting … but remember that this is a long season, and there are plenty of opportunities still for the writers to decide to do something.
