‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: ‘Hardhome’ director returning and other news

Game of Thrones -Here is how seriously we and so many other people all take “Game of Thrones” these days: We are able to make a meal out of talking about directors! We’re not even talking here about the story, but just the people who are helming each particular episode for the upcoming sixth season. Given that we are going into this blind with no more information from A Song of Ice and Fire as your guide, we imagine that there will be curiosity surrounding almost every little thing with this show, mostly in hopes of getting a tiny bit more information.

The list of directors that we have below comes to us via Entertainment Weekly.

Episodes 1 and 2 – Jeremy Podeswa is returning! He just helmed “Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken” and “Kill the Boy” from the fifth season, so we brings experience to the show.

Episodes 3 and 4 – Daniel Sackheim. He is new to the show, but has directed episodes of “The X-Files” and recently worked on several installments of the amazing “The Americans.”

Episodes 5 and 6 – Jack Bender. Another newcomer for this series, but someone who directed a ton of episodes of “Lost.” We will gladly take any director of “Lost” on this show, given some of the powerful moments that series created over the years.

Episodes 7 and 8 – Mark Mylod. He is coming back after directing “High Sparrow” and “Sons of the Harpy” last season.

Episodes 9 and 10 – Miguel Sapochnik. He directed “The Gift” and most notably “Hardhome,” which of course means that there could be some speculation regarding whether or not he will be handed an enormous action sequence.

Such now-famous directors who have worked on “Game of Thrones” episodes include Michelle MacLaren, David Nutter, Alan Taylor (who is directing the new “Terminator” movie), and Neil Marshall.
