‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 spoilers: Secret Warriors confirmed in least-surprising news ever

Agents of SHIELD -From the moment that Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” hinted at the Secret Warriors via a social-media campaign, it was obvious to more or less everyone where this story was going. As a matter of fact, it may have even been obvious to a select group of people out there even before that based on the events of the season 2 finale.

Today, ABC confirmed (per Variety) that the group is going to be a part of the upcoming third season, and there will probably be some sort of casting information when it comes to that in due time. For those unfamiliar with the comic-book lore in this instance, this is a group assembled by Nick Fury who are tasked with fighting of course the bad guys. Many of them possess special abilities, but these powers are not known to adversaries (hence the name). In the comics Daisy Johnson is a member of the group, and this is the clear direction that the show has gone with Chloe Bennet’s character of Skye.

We wonder if we will get a Samuel L. Jackson cameo somewhere in here as a result of the assembling of this group; after all, he has appeared on the show before!

In terms of challenges, the biggest one for “Agents of SHIELD” may simply be that of balance. You have Coulson and his team, the Secret Warriors, whatever Ward is going to be up to now, and also finding a spot for Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter after the spin-off did not get ordered to series. The writers have an enviable job trying to fit all of that in.

If you missed it, season 2 is already available on Netflix! That means that you don’t have to wait to start checking out or re-watching old episodes as a means for preparing for the future.
