‘Halt and Catch Fire’ season 2, episode 5 preview: Lee Pace’s Joe and one unhappy reunion

Halt and Catch Fire -Just when the name of Joe MacMillan was referenced earlier this season on “Halt and Catch Fire” to Cameron, she had a very visceral reaction to it. Clearly, this is not someone she has really any interest in spending time with after he completely broke her in the first season. He is a destructive person not to be trifled with, and while she is smart, he turned her ambition into devastation.

So how is their reunion going to be on next week’s episode? Let’s just say that this is not going to be an easy pill for her to swallow, as Lee Pace’s character is back in some of his season 1 ways. “Infiltrator” is fittingly the title for the next episode given some of the habits that we have seen from him as of late, and you can see the official synopsis right now below:

“Cameron and Joe cross paths again, putting Cameron in a tailspin. Meanwhile, Gordon searches for connection as he processes difficult news.”

One of the fascinating things about this story is getting a chance to also see how Cameron and the Mutiny team move forward from tonight’s major breakthrough, which is the rise of person-versus-person gaming which we know will eventually one day become one of the dominating ways in which people game. We just have not gotten to the point where it is prevalent yet in the world of this show.
