‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ spoilers: Denis O’Hare to return, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson to play villains
The gifts keep on giving when it comes to “American Horror Story: Hotel,” and let’s just start with the following: Denis O’Hare is going to be back! Executive producer Ryan Murphy confirms as such during his extensive AwardsLine interview (via Deadline), saying that his contract is being finalized. Given that O’Hare can do just about anything, we’re glad to see him back for something more. Granted, this time around we hope that he gets to play someone a little more likable than any of the roles we’ve seen him in as of late.
Also during this interview, Murphy confirms something that we have been a firm believer in for quite some time: Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson are going to be at least two of the villains. It appeared that this was going to be true for sure with Paulson, but with Peters there was at least a little bit more in the way of ambiguity:
“Everybody in the show is very excited about this season, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters particularly because in every season thus far they’ve always been sort of the heroes, the good guy or the good lady so to speak, and this season they’re playing absolute evil villains so they’re very excited about that and I think people will really enjoy it, and the Gaga part is bananas good.”
One other change that may be nice for the cast is that there will be a little less in the way of a relocation this time. The set is firmly staying in Los Angeles this time around, as opposed to the past two seasons, which were more on location in the New Orleans area. They are helped this time by so much of it being an interior location, and they can therefore just use some studio lots.
