‘Finding Carter’ season 2, episode 12 (summer finale): Lori’s plan is…

Here we go again with Lori on “Finding Carter“: She has a new master plan going into Tuesday night’s midseason finale, and it is one that could lead to her both getting out of the psychiatric hospital and also getting full custody of Carter by the time that she is done.

As Elizabeth lays it out in the new sneak peek below (via TVLine), certain laws within the state of Virginia could make it much easier for Lori to get out and get Carter (movie references for the win!) back with her than she could anywhere else. All of this is complicated so much more by the egg donations, which throw a major biological wrench into everything. While we’re not banking for sure on her getting custody of Carter, it is something that we do at least have to consider now as a possibility.

While we find the Lori character in some ways compelling, at the same time we are starting to feel more and more like it may be time for the show to move beyond her and onto other things. It feels like for the most part, the main use of her storyline is going to be serving as a potential thorn in the side of everyone else, as she continues to try to get what she wants without really the consideration of the feelings of others.
