‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau on Jaime’s situation

Game of Thrones -What is a man like Jaime Lannister to do when it comes to Myrcella? One of the many surprises in the “Game of Thrones” finale Sunday night was seeing that Ellaria Sand was not exactly as complicit to keeping the peace between House Lannister and House Martell as she perhaps led on in the early going, opting instead to poison Jaime and Cersei’s daughter as a way of ensuring revenge on the family responsible for killing Prince Oberyn.

Was this a smart move for her? In our mind, hardly. All this move will do is likely cause further bloodshed between the two families. Not only that, but it is none other than Trystane aboard this boat to King’s Landing. After this happens, do you really think that Jaime is going to just turn around and go back there with him?

One thing that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau made clear when speculating as to the future of the show in an interview with Entertainment Weekly is that ultimately, Cersei is not going to be pleased to learn the outcome of his mission with Bronn:

“It’s not going to be easy, is it? She’s already gone through one hell. It’s like: ‘Do you want the good or the bad news first?’ But after this whole religious thing that’s happened [with the Faith Militant taking power in King’s Landing], the whole political balance has shifted. It’s not clear what’s going to happen.”

In other words, it’s hard to know what Cersei will do other than potentially kill off Trystane, given that there may not be an army that can be sent down to Dorne given the current fragile state of things in King’s Landing.
