‘Finding Carter’ season 2, episode 11 review: Did a shocking death change anything?

finding carter 2Tonight, “Finding Carter” promised a variety of shocking moments, but the biggest one involved something that we definitely never saw coming: The supposed of Kyle, the temporary love interest / partner for Elizabeth while she was struggling during her separation from David. It happened in a brutal shootout near the end of the episode, right after the two argued over her decision to get back together with her husband.

What does this really mean for the long-term future of the show and the character? That is somewhat hard to really define right now, mostly because there are so many different variables at play here. It may not impact Carter directly, but this is even more devastation at the feet of Elizabeth, who has spent the entire series dealing with a lot. It also impacts Gabe, who already doesn’t have a mother.

We do have to put a slight caveat in here, since it’s always possible something crazy happens. We wouldn’t count on it, though. This is not a show that likes to trick you and magically revive people.

Meanwhile, we also saw elsewhere Taylor act out after learning that Carter and Max slept together, and she went to inform Crash of the news. As you expected, this did not go over well. This is one of many complicated relationships that we saw play out, but we feel like whatever would have happened near the end of the episode was completely upended by most of the Kyle drama.

In terms of quality, though, we at least salute that this episode brought a ton to the table, and most of it was supremely entertaining, shocking, and at times very sad. It was far more eventful than any other hour in weeks. Grade: B+.
