‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Chris Harrison teases Nick Viall’s arrival, Clint Arlis – JJ Lane ‘betrayal’

Just when it looked like Clint Arlis and JJ Lane were going to be the best of friends forever on “The Bachelorette,” it looks like something could be coming in here and throwing a wrench into everything. This is ultimately what happens sometimes when you’ve got one guy who is clearly just there to bro down, while another at least has some semblance of wanting to find love at the end of it.

The thing is here that JJ seems to at least be very competitive in his pursuit of Kaitlyn Bristowe; maybe he just wants to say that he wins just as much as he wants to be with her in the end (that’s at least our perception), but he’s probably not going to be too happy about the idea of having his name drug through the mud along with his buddy, who is currently making a fool of himself in the house and will probably be booted first thing next week. Maybe this is something that Chris Harrison is alluding to in his TV Guide post-mortem of the episode:

“There’s a massive betrayal [that has to do with] the Clint-J.J. relationship, the likes of which I don’t know if we’ve seen in a long time. It’s very explosive and I don’t find Clint as much of the bad guy in the house that J.J. seems to be. We then hit the road next week and we’ll be adding [Nick] so it’s crazy from here on out.”

In regards to Nick, we find it curious that Harrison specifically says that they are “adding” Nick Viall to the cast. To us, that makes it seem almost like they are doing more than just allowing him to be one of those one-week experiments that ends rather badly for all involved. We’ll see what happens, but it is possible that he actually has a chance at this!
