‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Clint Arlis vs. Kaitlyn Bristowe in new preview

Is Clint Arlis about to become the poster child for over-thinking on “The Bachelorette,” or is he simple far too cocky for his own good? These were the two questions that we were wondering when we started to watch the sneak peek below … but by the time that we got to the end of it, our opinion changed dramatically.

Basically, what we’ve figured out here about Clint is that he is a very rare breed of Bachelorette contestant. Apparently, he has figured out that he’s really not into Kaitlyn at all, but at the same time he wants to stick around and be a bro with JJ and some of the other guys. It’s still a weird strategy for him to take if sticking around is a goal of his; doesn’t he realize that he probably needs to actually spend time with the Bachelorette if he wants to be kept? The whole “I’ll wait for her to come to me” strategy does not really work on this show.

There have been several occasions in the past of the first one-on-one date recipient bungling things for themselves as the season goes on, but Clint may be setting a record for ruining it for himself in pretty record time. After seeing and hearing all of this, the odds of him going home appear to be pretty darn likely … whether it is tonight or an episode or two doing the road.
