‘American Crime Story’ spoilers: Rob Morrow to play Barry Scheck

American Crime Story -Could the cast for “American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson” somehow get any more impressive? The more that we hear about it, and the more and more we feel like it is legitimately possible. This is a series that already has aboard the likes of John Travolta, Cuba Gooding as Simpson, Sarah Paulson, David Schwimmer, Selma Blair, Connie Britton, Jordana Brewster, Courtney B. Vance, and so many other accomplished people.

Now, we’re hearing the Rob Morrow (currently a part of “Texas Rising”) has joined the fold. Per Deadline, he is going to be coming on the role of Barry Scheck, the co-founder of the Innocence Project who ends up playing a very integral role in the trial. The strength of almost every casting here is a credit to executive producer Ryan Murphy and his team, who have this real gift for being able to find great people to be a part of the team.

Last we heard, “American Crime Story” is likely not going to premiere until 2016, which makes us wonder if this is a show that will fill the scheduling void left by “Justified,” another series where crime was a central component. Granted, the two are likely to have many differences in regards to tone.

This particular show will focus mostly on the OJ Simpson trial itself, which is why the majority of the castings you have seen and heard about so far are people who are going to be in that courtroom.
