‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6 premiere video: Simply about surviving

PLL -What is for the most part interesting about “Pretty Little Liars” is that by and large, most of the danger that the Liars face is quick, aggressive, and extreme. This is a show that loves to shock you with sudden / terrifying situations.

However, the sneak peek below teases that much more of a war of attrition is ahead for Hanna, Aria, Spencer, Mona, and Emily as they all try to survive life outside the Dollhouse for as long as possible. They have no food and no water, and the mysterious Charles does not seem to be altogether keen on lending a helping hand. Instead, these ladies are pondering already how long they can survive before they start to completely wither away.

As per usual with a show like this, we really do not feel like most of the drama is meant to revolve around whether or not the Liars collectively survive this latest stunt from Charles, mostly because of the fact that the show would be awfully strong without them. Instead, think of more of the drama as being about what sort of psychological impact this has on all of them moving forward. If they were not jaded and tormented before, they certainly will be now on another level.

One of the other mysteries that has to be unlocked here is how the public reacts and treats the Liars once they finally do make their way out into the world again. If nothing else, they can take a little solace in knowing that the police may not be after them as they once were … at least for now.
