‘America’s Got Talent’ preview: Howard Stern talks judging his fourth season

America's Got TalentCome Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, it is finally here: The big premiere of “America’s Got Talent“! This is a chance to see a wide array of acts from really all over the world perform, and also some interesting banter hopefully between the judges. We’ve been hard on various panels over the years, but we do like this one for the most part. Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all bring different things to the table, with “America’s Judge” Stern often taking the lead.

In the video below, Howard describes some of his experience that he has had on the show the past three seasons, and also some of what he has learned. For example, he describes how having a great talent is really not enough, and you need to also have some sort of ability to play out to the audience, and find a variety of different ways to impress them and grab their attention.

Meanwhile, Howard also gives some interesting commentary on the state of the drag act, which is something that we tend to see a lot of on this show. There are many people who don’t take it seriously, mostly because it is such an easy way to get seen on TV. However, Stern talks here about a drag act this season that does so much more than dress up in women’s clothing. It’s a legitimate performer, and someone who is going to be worthwhile to watch.

We’re sure that we will hear from Howard so much more before the end of the season, so stay tuned.
