‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: Could Cheryl Fernandez-Virsini be only woman on judging panel?

The latest news -We have all seen countless judging rumors at this point when it comes to “The X Factor” UK, and the latest one certainly should get people wondering if the show is really considering making a move to bring it closer to “The Voice.” Specifically, we are talking about whether or not the show could be moving to a panel that features Cheryl Ferdandez-Virsini as the only woman with a seat on the panel.

This news was first reported recently by The Sun, who also went on to claim that it is very well possible that Nick Grimshaw of Radio One is also a favorite to get a spot. From there, it seems like the series is very desperate to get another big star, based on a source:

“Ever since the panel moved from three to four judges there have been two men and two women, but it looks like that is going to change … [Simon] will definitely be back, as will Cheryl. Grimmy’s just a formality, so the X Factor team is currently searching for a really big-name male.”

Two names that are frequently bandied about here are Robbie Williams and also One Direction member Louis Tomlinson, though we are not entirely clear on how Louis could handle both doing this show and all of the touring around the world that his band does. Granted, with that said it would be useful to have someone on the panel who actually has gone through the process before.
